The FDA is now requiring sunscreen labels to show if they also protect against skin cancer (not just sunburns) with…?
"Broad Spectrum" indicates that the sunscreen also protects against skin cancer. Currently, standards of protection apply only to one part of the sun's spectrum, ultraviolet B rays, which cause sunburn. Under new rules, they will also have to protect against the more penetrating ultraviolet A rays associated with skin cancer. For more information read the whole article at the link here:
