Where do you go frequently for health care?
Ever take your car in for some preventive maintenance? If you catch a problem early it can save you a lot of frustration, time and money. The same can be said regarding your health.
Now, we’re not saying your health should be compared to your car, but preventive care is very important to both. The best way to receive preventive health care is to get the recommended checkups, health screenings and immunizations.

I usually go to my primary care physician, but only if necessary. My co-pay is $35 dollars and often I am rushed in and out. The actual practice is not run very well. I'm thinking of changing doctors at the moment.
I have now started going to the clinic at work. This is more convenient and less time away from work.
Only place I can afford to go is PCP. My employer couldn't afford premiums for decent BCBS coverage so we go the crap 123 options. I can't afford the premium for my husband now since it went to 800.00 a month and I can't afford a specialist because it costs 20% after 1500.00 deductible like I could ever afford that. And yet BCBS constantly and incessantly runs TV commercials so sappy I could really and truly puke!
I admit that I don't have a primary care physician at the moment so I tend to either use the clinic at work or urgent care for issues that the specialists I see would not treat. So far it's worked out pretty well.
I see a Nurse Practioner as my PCP. I feel like I get more face time and that she really listens to me. I have found my FNP to be just as good as my old PCP MD.
