I happened to be out and stopped for a yearly planner. It wasn't even tax-free. I always avoided it before. Now I know it is not worth it!
Most big sales come before the tax free day and it can be a congested nightmare to shop that weekend.
I usually save expensive purchases for that day if I can get them online. It gets way to busy in the stores to save a few bucks.
I would if I neede to buy a large ticket item.... my kids are out of school so that is no longer an incentive.
Usually I don't have the money when they are running the special and the savings aren' t that great.
