How is the site set up?

Blue Asks You NC is designed for conversation. The members of this online community drive the content.

The site is organized by categories like Living, Working, Prevention, Parenting and New at Blue. Use the “View All Topics” button at the top of the page to see the range of topics.

These topical articles provide news, views and expert thinking to provoke discussion and comments from the community. On each topic page you’ll find poll questions and relevant opinions from other users who joined the discussion.

Our infographics are another conversation starter. These are easy-to-use presentations of third-party findings related to our discussion topics.

We hope you’ll explore. Multiple conversations are taking place all the time.

How does the Prize Poll work?

The Prize Poll awards new prizes to participants. Enter to win by answering the question featured on our home page. To learn more see our Prizes page.

How do I sign in?

You don’t have to be a Blue Asks You NC member to browse the site and interact with the poll questions. But if you want to post an opinion (and we hope you do), you’ll need to sign in.

If you’re a Facebook or Twitter user, you can log in using either of those accounts. (We won’t have access to your accounts, and we will never post to your accounts or save your passwords.) You may also create an account here on Blue Asks You NC using an email address. If you have already signed into one of our other online communities, like LetsTalkCost.com, you can use the same user name and password here.

How do I contribute?

There are plenty of ways to get involved.

Are there rules for users?

This is an open community with room for a range of opinions, so we will not be moderating discussions for content. We will edit inappropriate material, such as obscene or threatening language, by removing the posts or comments that contain it. What do I use the flag icon for?

If you see an offensive or otherwise inappropriate comment, click “Flag.” Doing so will mark the comment for us to review. We’ll take action only if the comment violates our Terms of Use guidelines.

Can we expect to see Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina participating in the forums?

People from BCBSNC will be listening and responding, just like other members of the community. You’ll recognize us by the blue boxes around our user icons. Note that our role as a community member is different from that of insurer.
